A.P.C. Is Reviving Magasin Général In NYC At Its Soho Store

Longtime fans of A.P.C. will remember that long before the concept store became as common as the corner store, A.P.C. did it at its 6th arrondissement store Paris. Magasin Général (that’s French for General Store, FYI) featured unexpected items alongside A.P.C.’s classic French basics from 1996 to 2007, and to celebrate the brand’s 30th anniversary, the store is being revived as an outpost at A.P.C.’s Mercer Street location.

From Aalto vases to Pilot pens, skateboards and alarm clocks, Magasin Général is kind of like a mini-MoMa store with a twist of French chic, with some items pretty hard to find in the US.

Bonus: When you’re finished buying gifts for others you can peruse the clothing for yourself. Cool.

Magasin Général is open at 131 Mercer St, New York NY 10012 from November 9 to December 6, 2017
