Alexa Chung, The Strokes, Interpol And More Are Banding Together To Help A Sick Friend

Alexa Chung, Paul Banks of Interpol, Albert Hammond Jr of The Strokes and a bunch more will gather at the Bowery Hotel in New York on August 22 to benefit their friend Benjamin Curtis of School of Seven Bells. Curtis was diagnosed with T-Cell Lymphoblastic Lymphoma earlier this year and is currently undergoing chemotherapy.

In addition to performance by Banks and Hammond, Chung will DJ and there’s an auction for a ton of cool stuff including Saturday Night Live tickets, a Star Trek audio book signed by Zachary Quinto and a signed guitar donated by Coldplay, as well as items from the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The Black Keys, Philip Lim, Brooklyn Cruiser Bicycles and more. Bidding on premiere auction items will carry over to continue online at for one week after the event. 100% of the money raised will go directly to Benjamin’s fund.
