Our desire to bare our ankles reached new heights this week when we procured our first pair of Blu Kicks, a new shoe company specializing in sick slip-on shoes. We’ve always been a fan of the slip-on, but some admittedly haven’t been too kind to our feet i.e. no support, cheap construction etc. Blu Kicks is the opposite of that. The moment you slip your foot into the shoe you feel the arch support, as well as really great heel support. They’re cut low at the sides, which is intended to let your foot breathe and has the added bonus of being very flattering, too. Naturally, we are drawn to the nautical Panama striped patterns, and they also come in a myriad of other looks including a cool gold canvas option. The soles featuring hand-drawn fish are just spectacular, too! The brand was started by mother and son duo Victoria Fay and Will Leonard, and $1 from every pair sold goes towards protecting fish habitats. Now if only summer would just hurry up and get here.
