We previously thought of wax as a product for those with short hair. And guys. Guys love wax. Then we began to experience level-nine breakage at the crown of our head. The short hair began to stick up à la Paul Weller and, unless you are a ’60s-obsessed mod, looking like a male extra from Quadrophenia is not a choice look. We are in no way mod. Or male. A word of advice, our hair guy told us, a touch of wax will keep those sticky-up bits down. We went one better and got ourselves a pot of Bumble & Bumble Semisumo pomade. It’s kind of like a wax but not as heavy. You can use in conjunction with your other styling products for more control, or just a light layer for shine. It keeps hair smooth and frizz-free without weighing it down and it’s good to use with color-treated hair. You can also use it like a traditional wax on short hair to add definition. We love this stuff.
