Diptyque Skincare Is Now A Thing, And It’s Wonderful. Le Sigh.

Diptyque

The French do skincare like no one else, as everyone whose ever been to France will tell you. A mere glance at Instagram during Paris Fashion Week will tell you that your fashion friends are just as interested in stocking up at the pharmacies as they are in attending the shows. Maybe even more interested, truth be told. As purveyors of the finest candles like, ever, Diptyque had a lot to live up with the release of its skincare line and—holy cannoli, you guys—it couldn’t be any more perfect. The Nourishing Cleansing Balm, $65, for the face reminds us why French women live for a face oil. When applied to the skin, it turns into an oil that removes your make-up and/or grime, and when you add water it transforms again into a lotion that you can wipe off! It’s science beauty magic! Of course it smells gently gorgeous, and the packaging is literally the most chic thing you can imagine on a shelf in a bathroom. We also love the Rose Hand Lotion, $28, since its delicate scent is such that you can actually smell it for ages after it’s applied. Of course it’s super-moisturizing on that awful, post-winter crepe-like skin on your hands, too. Damn yo, this range is good.
