Five Ways To Help Hurricane Relief This Weekend

With much work left to do, here are five ways you can help storm victims this weekend:

1. Join volunteers from The Smile, Gin Lane Media, Saturdays Surf NYC, Whitmans, Raise Cache and Cantora Records and head to Queens

These guys are coordinating with Rockaway Beach Surf Club and have organized transport for 300 people to head to Queens coastal communities this Saturday and Sunday. The surf club has set up a volunteer center to help clean out buildings, repair homes and get food, clothing and other supplies to those who need it. Click here to reserve a spot on a bus. It’s just $5 and rubber gloves, masks will be provided. Plus The Smile will give you hot coffee. 26 Bond St., New York, NY 10012

2. Bid in a silent auction at Highlands

The owners hit up their fashion friends for product donations from Chloé, Tod’s, Dr. Colbert MD Dermatology, Marc Jacobs and more, which they will list in a silent auction on Saturday afternoon at their West Village restaurant. All proceeds will go via New York Cares to help Staten Island residents affected by the hurricane.150 West 10th St., New York, NY 10014

3. Contribute to feeding the homebound at ZigZag tonight

Le Bain’s Thursday party ZigZag is implementing a $10 minimum donation at the door to raise funds for Citymeals-on-wheels who deliver food to those unable to leave their homes in the wake of Hurricane Sandy. Andy Cohen, Mickey Boardman, Parker Posey, Richard Chai and more are hosting the event. 10pm, The Standard High Line, Le Bain Rooftop, 848 Washington St., NY 10014

4. Go shopping

Rag & Bone is offering 20% off fall items in all stores from today to Saturday (November 10) and $10 of proceeds will go to relief efforts. Meanwhile at the Erin Fetherston and Christian Siriano sample sale at his new Nolita store, 10% of proceeds will go to the relief fund. Saturday and Sunday, 11am to 7pm, 252 Elizabeth St., NY 10012

5. Stop by American Two Shot for a fundraiser with Obesity & Speed

Saturday evening Obesity & Speed is hosting a sample sale “funraiser” for the Lower Eastside Girls Club at American Two Shot. Bring items to donate or just donate yo’ dollas. Matt Kays and The Misshapes’ Greg K are DJing. And there will be vodka. 7-11pm, 135 Grand St., NY 10002
