Like Hotel Delmano in Williamsburg, the McKittrick Hotel is not actually a hotel. It’s an entertainment destination best known for the Sleep No More interpretation of Macbeth, and last summer saw the opening of Gallow Green on the roof. It’s not your average rooftop, mind you. An old train carriage with torn up lace curtains that billow eerily in the breeze sits to the north, and you can order small plates and cocktails mixed by bartenders in suitably old-timey attire. As roof gardens go, it’s pretty spacious but they still recommend you make reservations. You should definitely go.
