If It’s Beautifully Unique Homewares You’re Looking For, Maison Numen Is The Place

When you’re shopping online for homewares, where do you look? Sure, there are some great resources for vintage, plus all the big chains, but when you want something new, unique and beautiful… where would you look?

With her eye for quality and individuality, Maison Numen founder Jessica Macias set out to create a destination for international design items, from the textiles of Guatemala to the glasswares of Italy. Traveling all over the place to find the best of the best in each region, Macias has curated a truly special store that will have you in a real pickle over what to buy, it’s all that good.

Each item is produced by true artisan in every country and is of the highest standard – think less local market and more ABC Home & Carpet.

Some pieces are created using ancestral techniques, while some are modern twists on traditional items. Take Mexican artist Ana Gomez for example, who takes Talavera ceramics to a new level using fast food forms, and the Italian master glassblowers of Parisevetro, who produce unexpected items such as a colander-shaped fruit bowl from the purest borosilicate blown glass.

It’s the type of place where you can buy one or two key pieces that will elevate the look of your space and make you look extremely well-traveled, even if you just like, go to the family lake house for every single vacation.
