We Designed A Keith Haring Kitchen And Here’s How We Did It

When Fuck Jerry moved into their new space on Broadway in Soho, the kitchen was so dark and dingy, no one ever wanted to set foot in it. So, we ripped out the old laminate cabinets, grimey appliances and basically everything else and started afresh.

We installed a whole new kitchen (thanks IKEA!) with glossy cabinets, white open shelving and all new appliances, essentially creating a white canvas on which to create something really fun.

Fuck Jerry founder Elliot Tebele is a huge Keith Haring fan, so when we found these Blik surface graphics online, we knew we could do something really cool with them.

Once we figured out the positioning of each graphic, it was really easy to apply each one, and the whole project took only a few hours. And with zero mess!

The kitchen is so minimal, we also wanted to avoid clumsy-looking appliances and excessive cords, so we got the cutest Keurig! It’s called the Keurig K-Mini Plus Single Serve Coffee Maker, and the best part is the cord tucks all the way in the back so you can keep your kitchen OCD-level neat. We also added a few surface graphics to the holder for the K-Cup pods, so it blends in really well with the overall design.

The room basically went from the worst one to our absolute favorite room in the entire office. That’s what we call a success.

It wasn’t just easy to apply the Blik graphics, it was fun too.

You can’t really tell but the cutlery is black!

We really took IKEA customizing to a whole new level in  this kitchen!
