Love Lights Up As Chris Bracey’s Exhibit Traces The Brain’s Chemical Stages Of Love

If the only thing that comes to mind when you think about neon signs is Las Vegas slot machines, pay-by-the hour motels and “EBT Card Accepted” bodega signs, think again. The go-to man for neon signage, Chris Bracey, will show his latest body of work “Stages of Love” at Guy Hepner’s LA and Miami galleries. Love will be up in lights as Bracey traces the brains’ chemical stages of falling in love. The neon signs will also reflect love’s hedonistic and romantic qualities. These works may be new but Bracey has long been the dude who does neon best — he shaped the landscape of Soho in the 1970s with his glowing signage and its innovative typography. From there he has collaborated with all the creative-world heavyweights on films, fashion and art: Stanley Kubrick, Vivienne Westwood, Stella McCartney, Alexander McQueen, David LaChapelle to name just a very few. His pieces grace the walls of some of the most famous and tasteful homes in the world. So, Budweiser signs our ass! We want one.
