The Setting Does The Most Beautiful Affordable Handmade Ceramics You Can Imagine

Here’s what happened. You thought you were fine with your eggs in the carton in which they came, then one day you realized the inside of your fridge needs to look like a Pinterest board and said eggs need to be in a pretty bowl. And guess what? Now, every time you open the fridge door, you feel happier.

This kind of simple life-enhancing move is what inspired New Yorker Amanda Shine to create her new home wares destination The Setting, launched just a couple of days ago. The Soho-based brand is an edited, affordable destination for home accents and lifestyle wares featuring some of the prettiest, most elegant ceramics we’ve seen in a minute.

Each piece is hand-thrown and glazed in New York City, with a new collection launched once a month. The first collection, inspired by moon and sea, is available right now, and the next collection, inspired by beloved locations, is released on August 1st and will include three vases and a jewelry dish.

Naturally, there’s a myriad collaborations in the works, as well as a non-ceramic item coming this fall, plus entertaining tips from many of Amanda’s creative friends. Bonus: each piece can be customized with your own personal message. Check out the current collection below and keep up with The Setting on Instagram @thesettingnyc
