When you have amassed a significant collection of something, it usually means a) you’re probably kind of an expert on the subject and b) you have enough for some kind of exhibition or documentation.
With this in mind DJ Ross One realized his personal collection of hundreds of hip hop T-shirts were worthy of their own book.
But he didn’t stop there. Ross spent two years tracking down rare tees from other collectors and dealers, ultimately shooting over 500 tees for his book Rap Tees: A Collection of Hip-Hop T-Shirts 1980-1999. He traveled all over the world, shooting shirts from the Sugar Hill Gang, Beastie Boys, Jay Z, and basically every rare and iconic rap tee there is. We’re no hip hop experts, but even we wouldn’t be mad to see this under the tree on Christmas morning.
