For Jin Soon Choi, after rising to the top of her field as a backstage and editorial manicurist and opening three beauty salons in New York, the logical next step was to create her own nail polish collection. She didn’t just throw any old thing out there, of course. Choi created two collections: Quintessential (anchor, staple colors) and A La Mode (fashion shades that will change each season). For Fall 2012, Choi enlisted the help of top model pals including Jamie Bochert, Karlie Kloss and Coco Rocha who named the on-trend colors, ranging from dirty grays to dark blues. With a base coat and topcoat in the collection, Choi’s intention is to give a long-lasting manicure with rich color in a single coat. The line is 5-Free (no formaldehyde, toluene, DPB, formaldehyde resin or camphor) and has UV filters, so your color is less likely to fade.
