The Best Thing About Boy Smells Candles Is The Scent, The Second Is The Price

Now, call us crazy, but $80 as ‘the norm’ seems like a lot to spend on a candle. That’s like, a lot. So, when we saw this (relatively) new candle line Boy Smells we were pleasantly surprised to discover they cost just $29 each.

At that price, could they possibly smell as fabulous and burn as long as your favorite French candle? Mais oui! They’re all so delicious! We are extremely partial to Cinderose, whose slightly smoky scent gives a masculine touch to an otherwise feminine floral moment. We die over Petal (tree flowers, rose, sage and patchouli) and the fabulous Kush is a mix of cannabis, suede, white musk, tulip and amber. (but don’t worry your home won’t smell like weed).

Matthew Herman and David Kien develop and mix the candles in their L.A. home with fragrance and natural oils, coconut wax and beeswax, and if their selection of fragrances is anything to go by, these guys clearly have an innate talent for creating scents.

This is probably going to be one of those companies you hear has been bought for like $15M dollars in a few years.
