We Can’t Think of One Reason Not to Buy Aveda’s Deliciously Scented Light the Way™ Candle

There’s so much to like about Aveda’s newest candle. Each 100 per cent-certified organic essential oil, including vanilla, cinnamon and ylang-ylang, is sourced from Madagascar, which happens to be where school kids designed the adorable packaging. You see, the village of Ampasimanjeva village received two Global Greengrants Fund grants for water projects, which means the kids at the Association School have been able to stop drinking water from a dirty, crocodile-infested river and now get their H2O from a nearby safe community water source. They drew little sketches to tell the story and Aveda put them on the candle boxes. The best part is, 100 per cent of the purchase of every Light the Way™ candle goes to Global Greengrants, so more villages like Ampasimanjeva will receive funding for clean-water projects. $12 will fund an entire year of clean drinking water for a person in Madagascar.

$12, available from March 24 at
