We’re Getting A Cool Studio 54 Meets Sumer Camp Vibe From Geren Ford Right Now

JenniferDress copy Designers // Fashion

We’re over the moon for Geren Ford right now, with its relaxed-luxe vibe that could transform even strictly pants-wearing gals into full-blown dress-wearing converts. The influences are hard to pin down but we’ll try to sum it up: Studio 54 meets summer camp, meets off-duty 1940s movie starlet, meets up-to-the-moment modern. Get the pitcha? The LA-based line is a cute but not prissy combination of wearable and fresh, which is of course totally our thing. The Jennifer dress ($320) has ditched last season’s bright color blocking for neutral blocking and it could be one of our summer staples — an item we’ll wear till threadbare by season’s end. The Panel shorts ($179) explain the summer camp reference. Based on “shorts you owned in 4th grade and tried to squeeze into in freshman year,” these are the fun pair of loose elastic shorts you wore to hula-hoop, upgraded to a big girl silk and cotton fabrication. Also take a gander at some of the vintage housewares available on the Geren Ford website. Vintage buoy ($129)? Check. Vintage ice bucket ($79)? Check. Retro chic to die for.
