Kiehl’s Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution Really Does Even Out Your Skin Tone

Kiehl's Beauty // Skin

As the quest to track down perfect skin solutions continues, we have moved to Kiehl’s Dermatologist Solutions Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution in order to work on some mild red spots we were left with after recurring acne.

As you would hope-slash-imagine of a Vitamin C derivative, the solution’s main ingredient is Activated C made of white birch extract and peony extract, and works on “destroying” melanin clusters. Really! All those dark spots, scars and discolorations are pummeled into oblivion and not only that, are discouraged/banned from ever returning.  You can tell it’s not just masking the spots either, since it’s a completely clear formula in a clear bottle.

It comes with a dropper too, which gives it a real apothecary vibe, and we live for that vibe, naturally.

Essentially, any annoyingly uneven skin gets a twice-daily beat-down from this. Kiehl’s tested on a group of women, 69% of whom saw “significant” reduction in dark spots, and 73% saw a reduction in acne scarring after four weeks, and after eight weeks, a massive 87% of women saw a more uniform skin tone. Guess what? After just three weeks, our skin tone is noticeably more even. It’s kind of bonkers how good it looks, to be honest. This is major, considering most people pay top dollah at the derm for such results.

Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution is $49.50 at Kiehl’s.

We are NOT mad at that.
