The Golden Word By Van Neistat At NYC’s Tiniest Museum Is An Amazing Gift For Someone (And For Yourself)

If you’re anything like us (which we’re certain you are) you probably won’t even start thinking about holiday gift-giving until after Thanksgiving. However this year, you should put that procrastination on hold and get on this sick gift for a loved one and yourself. Today (September 19) begins a two-week gift-giving event meets performance piece at Museum on Cortlandt Alley. The Golden Word is an event presented by artist/filmmaker Van Neistat of HBO’s The Neistat Brothers, the other brother being popular downtown filmmaker Casey.

At the museum, you meet with Neistat, where he will personalize a red SwissChamp army knife. On one side Neistat will engrave the name of your giftee and on the other will be a “golden word” which he will choose through chatting with you about the recipient as he is engraving. Once both sides are engraved he then fills each letter with 18k gold leaf. Fancy.

Basically, if we happen to be on your gift-giving list this season, well, you know what to get us.

$206 – at Museum by appointment at Cortlandt Alley, Btwn Franklin St & White St, New York, NY 10013
